Hmm. Not so much a Locke problem anymore. Seeing double, Locke and load.
Oh, and I think Richard is a pirate. Ahoy there, matey. Or perhaps I should say, "was" a pirate.

You may have already caught this, but after TL showed it to me I've been meaning to blog it for weeks. Enjoy.
For an explanation of the above video, see the extended entry.
Did you know that Mr. Darcy, gentleman that he was, was really a menace. This YouTube video proves it. Well, it proves the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice does have an interesting sub-text when remixed a bit. The narration on this video is a little forced, but it is interesting how many images from the movie fit the narrator's theme. Great use of remixing the audio over the silhouette of Lizzie in the last shot of the video.
Foyle's War had barely faded from the TV screen this evening when my phone rang: "I can't believe it's over!" a depressed voice wailed into my ear. During the airing of tonight's episode of Foyle's War, PBS said this was the last episode. That was the plan at one point, but may no longer be the case.
I've posted this before, but for newcomers, here is what Anthony Horowitz, the creator and writer of Foyle's War posted on his website on May 15, 2008:
"MORE FOYLE’S WAR. Just thought I’d mention it. Due to the stupidity of the men in suits, they cancelled my detective series, then changed their minds. I’m now working on a new series, set in the month after the war." (The suits he is referring to are ITV, a British network.)
Sadly, we are talking about television, so until the episodes air, there's no guarantee they'll air. TV shows and films frequently get cancelled at the last minute. But the good news is that scripts are at least being written with the intention of them being filmed and shown on TV. Let's hope the new episodes Mr. Horowitz is working on do get produced and aired on TV. And, for those of us in the United States, let's hope PBS shows them!
Never enough Foyle! Never!
On Tuesday my aunt and uncle are arriving for a short visit...a too short a visit as often happens with loved family. I wished they lived closer!
ITV, the British network work that airs Foyle's War, cancelled the show a while back. It was announced that the three episodes airing in the U.K. and U.S. (and other locations) during 2008 were going to be the last.
But look what I found today on the web page of Foyle's War writer and creator Anthony Horowitz:
"MORE FOYLE’S WAR. Just thought I’d mention it. Due to the stupidity of the men in suits, they cancelled my detective series, then changed their minds. I’m now working on a new series, set in the month after the war."*
Too bad ITV cancelled the show in the first place, so much of the war was skipped in order for the perceived final episodes to end with WWII ending. It will be interesting to see what happens after the war, but I hope they are able to get all of the cast back. It won't be the same with a different cast.
I'm still holding out hope for Mr. Horowitz to write Foyle's War books. Please, please. ;-)
