I like to listen to my MP3 player in my car. For years I've done this using a tape converter inserted in the car's tape player. This is no longer working. I've tried three tape converters and they just are not working. Two made loud clacking or squeaking noises and the tape player keeps ejecting the third one. My guess is that the tape player is just worn out. It will still play tapes, but not tape converters.
So I'm now in the market for an FM transmitter. Any suggestions? I want one that will work with any MP3 player, as opposed to being designed for one specific MP3 player. I really would love some recommendations if you have any.
Thanks!
sorry.. been a bit behind on my blogs since going away..
This is the one I got - http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/fm-usb-mp3-transmittor/ .. it works relatively well, except it refused to play some of my Lord of the Rings rips .. yet it's played all of my other rips quite happily. It has a usb socket to attach a memory stick directly, or an audio jack so you can play direct off your mp3 player...

Thanks for the suggestion! I've never seen this model.
I thought I had the problem fixed...my audio deck will only play in one direction...but even though I've patched around this issue, the deck still burps occasionally with the tape converter.
I'm still debating the longterm solution for this.
